BRUNSWICK — Myrna Benoit, 77, a Durham resident for 48 years, died July 11 at Mid Coast Hospital.
She was born in Harrison on Jan. 30, 1932, a daughter of Harry and Nettie Edson Kimball, and attended local schools.
She married Robert P. Benoit in Norway on Nov. 26, 1958. For most of her life, she was a stitcher in shoe manufacturing, working at Auerbach Shoe for over 20 years and later at L.L. Bean until she retired.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert on Nov. 29, 1987.
Surviving are her son, Michael R. Benoit and his wife, Paula of Englewood, Fla.; two brothers, William Kimball of Freeport and Harry Kimball Jr., of South Paris; five sisters, Hazel Parlin of Topsham, Muriel Brine of Norway, Phyllis Saucier of South Paris, Dorothy Saucier of Auburn, and Freda Nelson of West Palm Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Memorial services were held earlier this week.
Arrangements are by Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick.
