Association to meet

BATH — A meeting of the Morse High School Alumni Association will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Alumni Room at Morse High School.

Plans for Alumni Weekend, scheduled for June 11-13, 2010, will be discussed, as well as the Blue & White Golf Classic, Ice Breaker Dance, MHS Open House, History Presentation, and 119th Annual Banquet and graduation.

An informational meeting for class representatives from 1940, 1945, 1950, 1955, 1960, 1965, 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, and 2005 will begin at 5:30 p.m in the library at Morse High School.

holds open house

BRUNSWICK — The annual Maine Vocational Region 10 open house will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at 68 Church Road, Brunswick on Wednesday, Nov. 18.

Parents, students, and friends are welcome to visit with students and instructors and participate in program demonstrations.

Blease named
student of the month

TOPSHAM — Owen Blease was named the October student of the month at Mt. Ararat High School.

Blease, a 10th grade student from Bowdoinham, was nominated by science teacher Glenn Evans in recognition of his quality work in biology.

Peace studies
scholarship available

BATH — A Peace Studies scholarship is now available for a 3-credit hour peace studies course for spring semester, 2010 at University College of Bath/Brunswick.

Applications for the $500 scholarship, funded by PeaceWorks, is available online at www.learn.maine.edu/bath/peacestudies.php.

The scholarship deadline is Nov. 30.
