FREEPORT — The Harrington House at 45 Main St. will host a traditional Victorian Christmas celebration this weekend in the form of a seasonal holiday performance.

The Harrington children will invite visitors to decorate the Christmas tree, to sing and wait for their father the sea captain to return from his travels on the seas. The town crier will greet guests on the street and will invite all to join in the reading of “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.”

The 20-minute presentation is directed by resident Beth Muldoon, and is cast with local actors. Performances will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, and Sunday, Dec. 6, and will be repeated every thirty minutes. The last show will begin at 3:30 p.m. each day.

Hot cider and treats will be available and a $5 donation for adults is suggested. For more information contact Christina White at 865-3170.
