Reserved seats in the Cheverus section for the Class A boys’ basketball state championship game will go on sale at 9 a.m. today at the Cumberland County Civic Center box office, and reserved seats in the Scarborough section for the girls’ championship game go on sale at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Reserved seats are $8 each. General admission tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for students. Scarborough faces Skowhegan at 3 p.m. Saturday, and Cheverus plays Edward Little at 7 p.m.

 

The University of Southern Maine field hockey team will host an indoor tournament beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday. The registration fee is $150 per team, with a maximum of 12 players per team. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of four games. Registration sheets are due by Tuesday. Questions should be directed to Bonny Brown-Denico at 780-5519 or BBDenico@usm.maine.edu.

 

Portland Babe Ruth will hold registration at the North Deering Congregational Church from 6 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 24 and March 3. Portland residents born between May 1, 1994, and April 30, 1997, are eligible. The registration fee is $150. Visit www.leaguelineup.com/pbr for a registration form. A completed form and copy of the child’s birth certificate should be brought to registration.

 

Laxpros, the new lacrosse division of Atlantic Sportswear, will hold a lacrosse stringing clinic from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at its 36 Waldron Way location in Portland. Space is limited. To reserve spot, e-mail steve@laxpros.com.
