YARMOUTH – North Yarmouth Academy Headmaster Peter Mertz will step down at the end of the 2010-11 school year
Mertz has served as headmaster at the private school for a decade and overseen the renovation and construction of new facilities on the school’s Yarmouth campus.
“I am also pleased with the emphasis we have placed on integrity, honesty and respect that continues to be the keystone of the NYA experience,” Mertz wrote in a letter to the school’s board of trustees.
The board of trustees plans to begin a search process to hire a new headmaster soon.
