Navy Seamen Eric J. Green and Ty C. Connors recently completed Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Green is the son of Mary and Thomas Green of Topsham, and is a 2008 graduate of Mount Ararat High School. Topsham. Connors completed training with honors. He is the son of Janet and Grant Connors of Brunswick and is a 1998 graduate of Brunswick High School.

Army National Guard Pvt. Mark Zelinski has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. He is the son of John Zelinski of New Gloucester.

Army Pvt. Joel L. Thoits has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. Thoits is a 2005 graduate of Gray-New Gloucester High School, Gray.

Air Force Airman Donald G. Soule graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Kimberly Phinney of Gorham and is a 2008 graduate of Gorham High School.

Army Pfc. Dominic P. Bove has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. He is the son of Frank and Pareita Bove of Portland and is a 2009 graduate of Deering High School.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Daniel R. Walker graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Timothy Walker of Falmouth and is a 2007 graduate of Falmouth High School.
