Former Mt. Ararat pitcher Rogers promoted to the Milwaukee Brewers’ Triple-A team

Pitcher Mark Rogers, the first-round draft pick of the Milwaukee Brewers in 2004, was promoted Tuesday to the Triple-A Nashville Sounds.
Rogers, a former Mt. Ararat High standout from Orrs Island, was 2-4 with a 3.60 ERA in nine starts with the Double-A Huntsville Stars.

Paul Spellman, chief operating officer of Lewiston-based Federal Distributors Inc., joined the Lewiston Maineiacs as a minority owner.
The Maineiacs also named former NHL defenseman Steve Finn an assistant coach.
