BRUNSWICK — Louis L. Buffone, 80, died June 4 from post-surgery complications.
He was born March 15, 1930, in Worcester, Mass., one of 14 children of Joseph and Antoinetta Becito Buffone.
After serving in the Air Force during the Korean War he moved back to Massachusetts, where he and his wife Joan Buffone lived until they moved to Arizona in 1987. In 1993 they moved to Maine.
Outgoing and social, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing golf at the Bath and Brunswick golf courses.
He was predeceased by his wife Joan in 1999 and a daughter, Susan Conde, in 2006.
Surviving are three children, Candice Buffone, Julie Purcell and Mary Lou Pierozzi; his grandson, Matt Conde; his brother Nicholes Buffone, and a sister, Rose Buffone Variuer; numerous nieces and nephews; and cousins.
At his request, there will be no services.
