BOOTHBAY HARBOR — Boothbay Harbor is gearing up for its traditional parade of sails when the 48th annual Windjammer Days festival kicks off.
The two-day festival gets under way today with a pancake breakfast and ends Wednesday night with a fireworks display. In between, there’ll be music, food, a crafts show, an antique boat parade and a street parade. There’ll also be tours of the Spirit of Massachusetts schooner and the local Coast Guard station.
The highlight is the windjammer parade, when eight schooners under sail make their way through the harbor between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
