I don’t mind hitting Old Orchard Beach before tourist season, when foot traffic is at a minimum, parking spots are everywhere and you can get Pier fries any day of the week. The business owners down there can’t wait for the last week in June, when the season truly picks up and their storefronts are packed with people.

The Brunswick is looking forward to the busy summer ahead and plans on packing the house from now until Columbus Day. The folks here love a good party and rely on their regulars to keep coming back for fun and entertainment year round.

Boasting the largest patio in Old Orchard Beach, The Brunswick is a prime piece of real estate. Located on West Grand Avenue, far enough away from the screaming children on the Ferris Wheel, but close enough to walk to, the patio sits directly on the beach. With two large bars fulled loaded and serviced on the deck, a covered area in case you need some shade and two large bars inside, there is plenty of room for everyone here.

This hot spot is actually a resort, featuring motel or condominium rooms for rent and a kitchen with a full menu. Appetizers, soups, salads, seafood platters, lobster dinners and plenty of turf options are available.

With more tables on the deck facing the ocean than I could count, The Brunswick also has a stage set up for its very busy entertainment schedule. Bands and artists like Travis James Humphrey, Don Campbell, Trickle and Motor Booty Affair often play on the patio twice a day, so you can get your dance thing on anytime. Check out www.thebrunswick.com/entertainment for a full schedule and times.

The staff is currently busting out the last-minute details, completing their inventory and finalizing construction. Soon the pool room will be open and all televisions will be showing your favorite game. There are no drafts beers here, but bottled selections include Corona, Presidente, Sam Adams, Shipyard and plenty of your average domestics. The Brunswick offers a fully stocked bar and a wide variety of wine options.
