PORTLAND – Adam Morin drove in the go-ahead run in the eighth inning of the opener and Joe Cronin had a two-run single in the second game Saturday as Libby-Mitchell swept First Title in an American Legion baseball doubleheader, 5-3 and 4-1.

Morin scored the tying run in the seventh inning of the opener and also drove in the first of the two runs in the eighth to lead Libby-Mitchell (7-3) past First Title (7-3). He finished with three singles, a run and an RBI.

In the second game, Cronin hit a two-run single during a four-run fifth inning. He also pitched a five-hitter with 10 strikeouts and one walk.

STOCKHOUSE SWEEPS ANDREWS: Zach Collett had four hits with a homer and five RBI, and Sam Stauble had five hits and three RBI to help Stockhouse (7-2) take 7-2 and 16-4 victories against Andrews Post (0-10) at Westbrook.

Collett ended the second game with a three-run homer in the sixth inning.

KENNEBUNK, YORK SPLIT: Pat Fulford hit two doubles with three RBI as Kennebunk (4-5) took a 5-0 lead against York (4-6) and held on for a 5-4 victory in the first game at Kennebunk.

Taylor Landry pitched a five-hitter with four strikeouts and two walks.

In the second game, Cole Boston had three singles and two RBI, and Sam Leal added a two-run double as York beat Kennebunk, 5-2.

FALMOUTH SWEEPS MOODY’S: Dillon Dresser struck out four and walked one while pitching a four-hitter, and drove in a pair of runs to lead Falmouth (5-3) to a 5-1 victory against Moody’s (1-9) in the opener of a Zone 4 doubleheader at Gorham.

Falmouth completed the sweep with a 7-6 win in eight innings in the second game.

STAPLES CROSSING, FAYETTE-STAPLES SPLIT: Alex Newton drove in two runs and Ryan Leach knocked in the go-ahead run as Fayette-Staples (7-3) scored three runs in the sixth inning to take an 8-7 victory against Staples Crossing (8-2) after losing the opener 7-5 at Saco.

In the opener, Ian McAlister stroked a two-run triple as Staples Crossing took advantage of four walks to score five runs in the fifth to open a 6-0 lead.

SBS/BS SWEEPS BONANZA: Taylor Rouillard and Tyler Audie each drove in two runs and scored twice as SBS/BS (7-2) cruised to a 14-3, five-inning victory against Bonanza of Sanford (6-4) in the opener of a Zone 5 doubleheader at Biddeford.

SBS/BS completed the sweep with a 12-2, five-inning victory behind three hits, four RBI and two runs from Scott Callahan.

NOVA SEAFOOD SWEEPS OA-YARMOUTH: Nova Seafood rapped out 27 hits in 10-5 and 14-10 wins over OA-Yarmouth (3-7) at Yarmouth.

Jamie Ross held OA-Yarmouth to two runs on five hits in five innings in the first game. He struck out eight and walked one. In the second game, Jordan Haskell cracked a three-run triple to help OA-Yarmouth score five in the fifth for a 10-5 lead. Nick DiBiase answered with a three-run triple in the sixth as Nova scored six.
