WINDHAM — William Murray Gunn, 65, died unexpectedly at his home on July 9.
He was born on Feb. 17, 1945, a son of Murray and Alice (Calvert) Gunn, grew up in Windham and attended local schools.
After school he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He worked for Cott Bottling Co. and retired from Interstate Brands ( J.J. Nissen).
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and he was known for his sense of humor and generosity.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a sister, Mary, his brother Bobby, and longtime girlfriend, Donna Riddell.
Surviving are his daughters, Jackie Gunn of Limerick, Tonya Gunn, and Lisa Gunn, both of South Portland; three sisters, Alice, Suzy and Judy; three grandchildren; brother-in-law Sal; and close friend, Ralph Parker.
Memorial services were held on Wednesday, July 14.
Arrangements are by Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Road, South Portland.
