BRUNSWICK — David Rolfe Chandler, 54, died Aug. 8 at his home.
On Feb. 24, 1956, he was born in Richmond, Va., the son of Eliot Chandler and Dora Cochrane.
As a child, he lived in Five Islands and attended schools in Georgetown and Bath.
Over the years he worked at Chandler Master Builders, Five Islands Boat Company, and was a local house painter.
He was a lifelong NASCAR fan and a former driver at the race tracks in Oxford, Wiscasset and Unity.
Surviving are his mother, Dora Cochran of Brunswick; and two brothers, Bruce Chandler and his wife Gina of Phippsburg and Bob Chandler of Bangor.
Services will be private.
Arrangements are by David E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home, 638 High St., Bath.
Memorial donations may be made to Georgetown Rescue, P.O. Box 199, Georgetown, ME 04548.
