Photos do not appear immediately on the website contest pages. Photos are posted on Monday mornings from the previous week’s submissions. The weekly deadline for submitting photos is Thursdays at midnight.
Please submit your photo only once.
Each contestant is limited to one entry per category per week.
The filename of your photo should contain only letters (A-Z) and/or numbers (1-9) and should be 20 characters or less.
Photographs should be entered in the jpeg (.jpg) format, and should be no larger than 1.5 megabytes (MB) when closed. The image should no larger than 1600 pixels in its longest dimension.
Permitted digital enhancement of the images is limited to cropping, resizing, spot editing, toning using controls such as levels, curves, brightness and contrast and use of filters to sharpen or remove noise. Alterations NOT permitted include adding elements, removing or replacing elements that are not present in the scene. The use of artistic filters is not permitted.
Photos must have been taken in Maine to be entered in the contest.
