The Knox County Sheriff’s Department and United Bikers of Maine will hold a Torch Ride on Sunday to benefit Special Olympics Maine. Riders will start at 9:30 a.m. from the Sheriff’s Department in Rockland, then travel to Ellsworth before finishing at the Owls Head Transportation Museum. A cookout will follow. Riders may register this week or between 8 and 9 a.m. Sunday. The cost is $25 per bike and $15 per passenger, which covers the cookout and a T-shirt. The Kevin Brady Memorial Soccer Alumni Game will be held Saturday at Hannaford Field in Cape Elizabeth. The girls’ game begins at 4 p.m., followed by a parade featuring Cape Elizabeth Soccer Club players. The boys’ game starts at 7 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Kevin Brady Memorial Scholarship Fund. The Webhannet Golf Club at Kennebunk Beach is hosting a charity golf classic on Sept. 17. Registration begins at 11 a.m., with a hamburger/hot dog lunch on the clubhouse patio. The scramble tournament starts at 12:30 p.m. and will be followed by a cocktail reception and silent auction. Proceeds fund three local charities.
