CrossFit 321 in Brunswick will join locations across the country on Sept. 25 in hosting Fight Gone Bad, a fitness challenge to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project, Livestrong and the CrossFit Foundation. Athletes will participate in five drills – wall ball, Sumo dead-lift high-pull, box jump, push press and rowing. Athletes must register by Sept. 22 and raise at least $150 in pledges. The University of Southern Maine baseball staff will hold an advanced clinic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 3 at the Gorham campus baseball stadium. The clinic is open to high school aged players who hope to play college baseball. There will be instruction in the morning and games in the afternoon. Central Maine Community College is taking applications for its annual basketball academy camp training sessions. Sessions run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. as follows: Oct. 3, guard play for boys in grades 9-12; Oct. 10, guard play for girls in grades 9-12; Oct. 16, post play for boys and girls in grades 6-12; Oct. 17, guard play for boys in grades 6-8; and Oct. 24, guard play for girls in grades 6-8.
