PORTLAND — Jeremy Adler, 29, of New York City, defended his men’s title in the Maine Marathon this morning, running the Portland-to-Yarmouth round-trip course in 2 hours, 36 minutes. Adler won last year in 2:38:57.

Jenny Jorgensen, 27, of Glastonbury, Conn., won the women’s race in 3:01.

In the half-marathon races, former University of Southern Maine runner Nick Wheeler won the men’s division in 1:09.16. Katherine Marshall of Bellaire, Texas, won the women’s race in 1:23.

Kristen Barry, Sheri Piers, Josh Zolla and Rob Gomez won the marathon relay race in a course record of 2:21:22.

The race, which attracted 3,900 registrations, was run in comfortable conditions – 44 degrees at the start, and in the low 50’s at the finish.
