Courtney Tufts has joined Sanford Institution for Savings as a commercial loan portfolio officer. She has more than 18 years of banking experience with a strong foundation in commercial savings.
Catherine Palmer of Saco has been named director of development for the Marginal Way Preservation Fund. She will work to generate resources to help Ogunquit beautify and preserve the mile-long, paved walkway between Perkins Cove and Ogunquit Beach.
Robert Downs has been appointed to a new senior leadership position for Aetna. He has extensive experience with the state’s health care system.
Joyce Perry, Dr. Angela Liess and Elizabeth Page have joined Integrated Behavioral Healthcare. Perry will provide therapy for adults part time. Liess will work with both youth and adults. Page is also working with youth and adults and offering weekend and evening appointments.

AWARDS and RECOGNITION
Herbert Paris, president and CEO of Mid Coast Health Services, was presented the Harry C. Crooker Lifetime Achievement Award by Gov. John Baldacci. The Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber of Commerce recognized Paris for his leadership at the hospital and of numerous community boards, making a difference in the quality of life for the people of the midcoast region.
For the third year, LTC Financial Partners has been listed in Inc. Magazine’s list of 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the country. LTC Financial Partners, ranked 2,366, has offices in Portland and continues to expand.
Joella Rossignol of Allen Insurance and Financial has been honored with the Award of Excellence for her superior underwriting skills and long-term commitment to Safeco Insurance, a member of Liberty Mutual Group.
Ira Rosenberg, owner and president of Prime Motor Group, received the DOD/ESGR Patriotic Employer Award. He was nominated by Mark Small, a Prime Motor Group employee who is currently deployed as a member of the 94th Military Police Company of the U.S. Army Reserve.
Dr. Douglas Kay of Biddeford received the Pfeizer Bowl of Hygeia, one of the pharmacy profession’s most prestigious honors. He is the executive associate dean of the University of New England’s College of Pharmacy.

Dr. Reza Namin, superintendent of the Westbrook School Department, has been selected to serve on the School Superintendent National Advisory Committee. He was recently named candidate for 2010 National Superintendent of the Year Award.
