NEW FACES
• Dan DiPietro, Charlie Baillargeon and Rebecca Knox have joined Landry/French Construction Co. DiPietro is superintendent and has 20 years’ experience as a construction superintendent. Baillargeon has more than 30 years’ experience as he steps up to the superintendent position. Knox, formerly with Ledgewood Construction, has 18 years’ experience and will serve as construction coordinator.
• Geoffroy Deconinck has been hired by Natalie’s, Camden Harbour Inn, as executive chef. A native of Belgium, Deconinck graduated with high honors from CERIA Culinary Academy in Brussels and is considered a top chef in New York City.
• Kristin Melville has been hired as development director at Tedford Housing. She has more than 20 years’ experience in fundraising, events and communication.
• Elizabeth Jones has been hired as director of visitor experience at the Portland Museum of Art. She has worked at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts as director of visitor experience, tour coordinator and most recently, visitor experience, membership and technology consultant.
• Russell Johnson, Matthew Gallagher and Jacob Varney have joined the Portland Housing Authority. Johnson has joined the management team as deputy executive director. Gallagher will serve as assistant director of facilities. Varney has been hired as IT director.
• Joe Bean, Chris Byrd and Stephen Buyze have joined Systems Engineering of Portland. Bean joins as network administrator, Byrd joins the team of network administrators and Buyze joins as customer service lead.
• Sarah Thompson has joined LivingSocial.Com, of Portland, as a marketing consultant. She most recently worked in educational marketing at Idexx Laboratories.
PROMOTIONS
• Jean Dutch of Belfast has been promoted to senior operations manager at Allen Insurance and Financial. She has more than 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry.
• Ryan Nadeau and Meagan Barrett have been promoted to store managers at TD Bank locations in Shaw’s Supermarket. Both joined the bank in 2004. Nadeau will be responsible for the Scarborough location, while Barrett is responsible for the Auburn location.
AWARDS and RECOGNITION
• David Carlisle, chairman of Prentiss & Carlisle board of directors, and Donald White, president of Prentiss & Carlisle of Bangor, accepted the Austin Wilkins Forest Stewardship Award on behalf of the Maine timberland company from the Maine Department of Conservation and the Maine TREE Foundation.
• Kenneth Ross, CIC, president of Clark Insurance, has been honored for 30 years of participation in advanced education by the Society or Certified Insurance Counselors.
• Portland Magazine won nine national prizes at the American Graphic Design Awards for design excellence by Graphic Design USA.
GENERAL
• Charlotte Hagan of Woolwich was elected as the Eastern Division National Vice President of the American Legion Auxiliary. She has been a member of the Smith Tobey Unit 21 in Bath since 1965 through eligbility of her late husband, Clyde Cressey, a Korean War veteran and active Legionnaire.
• The Maine Department of Economic and Community Development’s Maine Products Marketing Program welcomed the following new members; Bill’s Turnings, CK Norton Woodworking, CurtisWorks, Doggie Delights, Elumus, Great Northern Docks, Honora Neri Collections, Hurrican’s Premium Soup and Chowder, Nance Trueworthy Jewelry, Laxy Mountain Moccasin, Maine Works, Natural Healing & Learning Center, Restless Hands, Rocky Hill Publishing and Shades of Maine.
• Becky Brink and David Eagleson have accepted positions on Goodall Hospital’s board of trustees.
