Police are continuing to look for a New Gloucester man wanted in connection with a high-speed chase that ended Friday night in North Yarmouth.
The chase began after a Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department deputy spotted an improper license plate on a car being driven near Route 100 in New Gloucester. A chase ensued, until the vehicle drove onto railroad tracks in North Yarmouth, before sliding off the rail corridor and into marshland. The driver, identified by police as James S. Fox, 31, fled.
A passenger, Jennifer Fox, 31, was given a summons for possessing prescription drugs and hindering apprehension.
No one was injured.
The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information about Fox to call 893-2810.
