Through Nov. 20: Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” a musical presented by Gray-New Gloucester High School Patriot Players, takes place at the high school Thursday, Nov. 18 and Friday, 19 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 20 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are $6 adults, $4 students.

Saturday, Nov 20: From 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at The Little Meeting House (721 Roosevelt Trail, North Windham) Karma Fair Trade will have fair trade goods available for unique, meaningful gift shopping. Items include baskets from Ghana, elephant pooh paper, carved soapstone/wood, musical instruments/toys, jewelry from around the world, scarves/clothes, soaps/candles, ornaments, recycled goods, purses, and much more. Nov. 20: Bridgton Recreation Advancement Group and Casco Recreation are holding a craft fair at the Casco Community Center 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Wooden crafts and furniture, quilts, fleece blankets and pillows, fabric baskets, ginger bread houses, doll cradles, jewelry, white elephant, baked goods, knitted items, and much, much more.
Nov. 20: The Athletics Department at Saint Joseph’s College offers its Kids Night Out program at the Harold Alfond Recreation Center on campus. The event, open to children ages 7-13, sponsors games, movies, swimming, rock climbing, arts & crafts and sports. The program goes from 5:30 to 9 p.m. $9 per child and $6 for each additional child from the same family. Kids Night Out is sponsored and supervised by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at Saint Joseph’s College. On-site registration on the evening of the event (no pre-registration required). 893-7723. Other dates the program is offered this school year include Dec. 4, Feb. 19, March 5, March 26, and April 16.
Sunday, Nov. 21: Rick Charette and the Bubble Gum Band will perform their 20th Annual Holiday Benefit Concert at Saint Joseph’s College at 2 p.m. in the Mercy Hall dining room. Charette and company bring their fun, positive energy and popular children’s songs, and Saint Joseph’s students will sponsor face painting, craft tables and cookie decorating. Admission is one new, unwrapped toy or gift card, to be donated to families in the Lakes Region who are in need this holiday season. FMI, call Frank Daggett at 893-7794.
Tuesday, Nov. 23: An ecumenical Thanksgiving service will be held a 7 p.m. at the Standish Congregational Church UCC, Oak Hill Road, Standish.
Thursday, Nov. 25: Thanksgiving Day dinner will be served at the Standish Congregational Church UCC at Oak Hill Road, Standish from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The meal will be prepared and served by members of the Standish and Sebago Lake churches. A free dinner for area residents in need of company and/or a hot meal.
Nov. 25: Free Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings sponsored by CrossWalk Community Outreach and the Naples UMC; RSVP to 615-3226 by Nov. 20 to reserve a spot. Meal served promptly at noon at the Naples Town Hall gym, seating is limited. Come and enjoy a fuss-free Thanksgiving. All are welcome.
Saturday, Nov. 27: Sebago Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce Tree Lighting Event. Gather with your family and friends from 4-6 p.m. at the Chamber office, corner of Routes 302 and 115 in Windham, for the arrival of Santa and a tree lighting ceremony. Enjoy caroling, hot chocolate and cookies, courtesy of local businesses, at Cross Insurance. Photos will be taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus from 5-6 p.m., courtesy of Time 4 Pictures.
Monday, Nov. 29: The Fifth Monday Meal, sponsored by Standish Congregational Church UCC on Oak Hill Road in Standish in conjunction with Food and Fellowship Inc, will be held noon-2 p.m. Free and open to the public.
Dec. 3-19: The Schoolhouse Arts Center at Sebago Lake will present Miracle on 34th Street on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 for students and seniors and $14 for adults. Tickets make great early Christmas gifts. Schoolhouse Arts Center is located on Route 114, just north of the intersection of Routes 114 and 35, in Sebago Lake Village. Sunday, Dec. 5: Naples Chinese Auction, sponsored by the Sebago Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce, will be held at the Naples Town Gym on the Village Green from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The auction benefits various Naples community programs. Preview starts at 11 a.m. on hundreds of items in a variety of price ranges. Bid on foods, dry goods, local services, one-of-a-kinds, seasonal de?cor, gift certificates and homemade crafts. Enjoy a light lunch then, starting at 1 p.m., the winning ticket for each item will be drawn. Donations needed include food, drinks, baked goods, paper goods, gift certificates and gift cards, new or gently used items, knitted items, children’s items, items for men and boys, higher-end items for the dollar table, medium to large baskets. Volunteers needed Saturday starting at noon setting up tables, chairs, unloading donations, bundling items into baskets, setting up bags and numbers. Dec. 12: Choir Christmas Concert at the Casco Village Church United Church of Christ, Route 121 in Casco Village, at 4 p.m. Directed by Eugene Long and with accompanist Lynn Foss, a wide variety of Christmas music – from classical to contemporary – will be sure to put you in the Christmas spirit. And it has to be said: the Casco Village Church Choir is nothing short of fabulous. Refreshments and fellowship after the concert.
