Tree lighting celebration

The town’s 27th Annual Christmas in Kennebunk celebration will be 4:30-6 p.m. Saturday in the Downtown Plaza area.

The event includes shopping, a Christmas tree lighting, free refreshments, carols and a performance by the Kennebunk High School Chamber Choir. On Sunday, Santa and his elves will be around from noon to 2 p.m. to meet with children. For details, call 985-7935.

 

New School tree sale

A Christmas Tree Sale to benefit The New School of Kennebunk will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at the school, located at 38 York St., Route 1. The fresh-cut trees are $25 each. For more details, call 985-3745.

Christmas concert at Nonantum

The Senior Center at Lower Village will sponsor a Christmas Concert with Classic Blend at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at The Nonantum Resort on Ocean Avenue.

Tickets are $5 for the general public and free to Senior Center members. They are available at the door or in advance at the center at 175 Port Road in Kennebunk.

Concert to aid shelters

Community musicians the Kennebunk River Band and Friends, The Afro-folk duet and Soul Tree will perform a benefit concert at the Alfred Town Hall from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
