LEWISTON — Maine State Police say three people have been charged with kidnapping and aggravated criminal trespass after allegedly dragging a sleeping man from his mobile home, holding a knife to his throat and tying him up.

The Sun Journal of Lewiston says bail was set Monday for the three suspects: 32-year-old Cherith Andersen, 39-year-old Michael Morse, and 49-yerar-old Clarence White, all of Wilton. Andersen and Morse face additional charges in connection with the Thanksgiving incident.

Andersen’s attorney, James Howaniec, told the court that Andersen was in a relationship with the alleged victim, who had a warrant issued for his arrest. Morse’s attorney, Adam Sherman, says it appears the victim hesitated to call police because of the warrant.
