FREEPORT — Sonja L. Nadeau, 64, died Dec. 30 at Parkview Hospital with her family by her side after a long illness.

She was born in Bath on Aug. 10, 1946, the daughter of John H. and Thelma L. (Simpson) Hudson and attended local schools in Bath and graduated from Morse High School in 1965.

On Feb. 16, 1968, she married Charles N. Nadeau and they had three children together.

She enjoyed traveling, camping, and spending time with her family.

Her parents and her brother Lloyd E. “Skip” Hudson predeceased her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Charles N. Nadeau of Freeport; three daughters, Christine M. Stephenson and her husband James of Phippsburg, Sherry L. Abram, and Traci L. Sullivan, both of Bath; three brothers, John E. Hudson and his wife Rita of Bath, David E. Hudson and his wife Judy of Bath, Peter B. Hudson and his wife Sharon of Bath; three sisters, Nancy A. Boucher of Whitefield, Barbara A. Tibbetts and her husband Charles of Bath, Jeannette R. Arsenault and her husband Joseph of West Bath; a sister-in-law, Lillia Hudson of Wiscasset; her aunt Isabelle Rhoades of Topsham; eight grandchildren, Jessica, Jami, Dustin, Shea, Jesse, Charlie, Robbie and Chloe; many nieces and nephews; and close friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the David E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home, 638 High St., Bath.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, Jan. 6 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
