Cianbro Corp. says it has won another contract to build oil refinery modules at its manufacturing facility in Brewer.
Cianbro Chairman and CEO Peter Vigue said Tuesday that the modules will be built for a “major North American petrochemical corporation,” but the customer’s identity is not being disclosed. He said the modules will be similar to the 51 that Pittsfield-based Cianbro assembled for Motiva Enterprises’ refinery in Port Arthur, Texas.
The new project comes four months after Cianbro was awarded a contract to build 22 electrical room modules for the Brazil-based mining company Vale. Those modules will be installed at a nickel processing plant that Vale is building in Newfoundland.
