Biddeford and Saco firefighters rescue a man who jumped into the Saco River at the Main Street bridge around 6:10 p.m. Friday.
Firefighters threw a line to the man as he clung to the ice shelf, then pulled him out of the swift-moving water and onto the ice.
After getting the unidentified man off the river, they took him to Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford, where he was treated for hypothermia.
The crews have been practicing ice rescues in recent weeks and completed a training exercise earlier Friday.
