LIVERMORE FALLS — State fire investigators say they’ve charged a 36-year Maine man with allegedly setting fire to a second-hand store in Livermore Falls.

The state fire marshal’s office says Scott Violette is charged with arson and violating probation from a previous arson conviction involving a fire in Norridgewock in 2003. He is being held on $15,000 bail.

Officials say Violette allegedly set fire to the Treasure Chest store last week. Violette lived in a nearby apartment house on the same street.
