The Maine Lightning travel baseball team from Frozen Ropes in Portland is looking for players ages 13-15. Those interested should contact Mike D’Andrea at [email protected] to set up an evaluation.

The Old Orchard Beach Alumni Basketball Classic will be held at 6 p.m. March 11 at the high school gym. Alumni interested in playing should contact Sharri MacDonald at 590-4201 or [email protected]. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors. Proceeds benefit the basketball program.

The University of Maine at Fort Kent will host its fourth annual Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday, March 19, in the UMFK Sports Center. The inductees include Emery “Legs” Labbe, Larry Violette, Michael Charette and Emlyn Jacoby. The induction ceremony begins at 5 p.m. with a social followed by a banquet and awards presentation.
