TALL TAILS BEAGLE RESCUE

The following dogs are available for adoption from Tall Tails Beagle Rescue in Freeport, 797-5392 or www.talltailsbeaglerescue.petfinder.org. The group will be at PetCo, 131 Topsham Fair Mall Road, Topsham, from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday. The store telephone number is 721-8683.

Dreyfuss is a neutered male beagle, about 2 or 3 years old, who came to Tall Tails Beagle Rescue from the Paris Animal Welfare Society in Paris, Ky. The people in Kentucky said he “is super cute with big, brown eyes and is tri-colored.” He is a bit larger than the average beagle. He is fairly calm and has decent manners. He is attentive and eager to hang out with you and to please, although he does have a touch of that hound independence.

Chelsea is a spayed female beagle, about a year old, who also came from Paris, Ky. Chelsea is a bit shy at first, but warms up to people quickly. She is a very pretty girl who is energetic and playful. Chelsea just loves to get and give affection.

ANIMAL WELFARE SOCIETY

The following animals are available from the Animal Welfare Society in West Kennebunk, 985-3244 or www.animalwelfaresociety.org.

Odie, an 8-year old Pekingese mix, is small in size, but he is big in personality. Odie is extremely friendly and playful. When he really gets into playing, he can become quite aloof and comedic. When he’s done playing, he is quite affectionate and enjoys spending some time just relaxing with his people.

Connie is a beautiful 5-year-old cat, a friendly girl who is always up for a nice chin rub or a scratch behind the ears. She loves to be around her people but would prefer to be the only pet.

Scottie is an adorable, friendly adult bunny. He should be handled on a daily basis in order to stay this way. He would also enjoy having a hideaway to rest in, hay to nest with and snack on, fruits and veggies to snack on and toys to chew on.
