HART OF MAINE

Here are a few of the cats awaiting adoption:

Buttercup is a beautiful, long-haired calico. She was rescued from another shelter by a caring soul who did not want to see her euthanized due to her age. We think she is around 14 years old. Buttercup is friendly and affectionate, but she needs to be the only pet in the home. She would do well in a quiet home where she can be a true couch potato.

Ella is a beautiful medium- to long-haired tortoiseshell estimated to be about 18 months old. She was transferred from another shelter after raising her brood of kittens because she was thought to have some serious health concerns. She did not, and is now a resident in our front hall, greeting all who come in. Ella is very sweet and friendly, but we feel she ought to be the one and only “princess” in her new home. She likes to be the only cat receiving attention.

Missy is a beautiful 2-year-old greyhound who has decided to turn her racing shoes in exchange for a loving home. She will need help getting used to everyday noises as well as things such as stairs and doors. Gentle assistance when needed and reassuring her with kind words will help her out tremendously. .

Jasmine, a 7-year-old calico cat, may have a lot more white coloring than most calicos, but there is a dusting of buff and brown throughout her fur, as well as more coloring around her tail. She’s very sweet, she enjoys some quality petting time and she doesn’t even put up that much of a fuss when it comes to brushing. Like all of our cats over 6 months of age, the adoption fee for Jasmine will be waived.

Louie, a cute little black and white guinea pig, is a handsome fellow who would love to get handled on a daily basis.
