Winthrop Police Capt. Ryan Frost said the 22-year-old man was partially ejected during the crash.

The victim’s identification is being withheld until family members are notified, Frost said.

The crash occurred around 9:30 p.m., Monday. Frost said the 1996 Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling south on Annabessacook Road when it rounded a slight bend to the right and skidded out of control. The truck rolled over and came to rest in a field, Frost said.

Police do not believe the driver was wearing a seat belt.

Police closed the section of Annabessacook Road for about three hours as they reconstructed the crash. Police are still trying to determine what caused the crash, Frost said.
