Emma is a beautiful long-haired adult female. She is a Maine coon mix with very striking eyes. She was recently brought to the shelter because her owner could no longer care for her. Emma has lived with other cats before, but can be somewhat of a dominant personality, so we feel it would be best to have her go to a home where she can be the only cat.

Ella is an adult female tortie with beautiful medium to long hair. She is estimated to be under 2 years old. She was transferred from another shelter after raising her litter of kittens because she was thought to have some serious health concerns. Thankfully, those proved not to be true and she is now a resident in our front hall, as our official greeter.

Dixie is a spayed female beagle/ Dalmatian mix, about 4 years old, who came to Tall Tails Beagle Rescue from the Paris Animal Welfare Society in Paris, Ky. She was a beloved family member of a shelter volunteer who lost her home, and she is now in need of a new family to call her own. Dixie is a wonderful girl who has only three legs, but gets around without a problem. She gets along well with other dogs and cats and just loves her people.

Dreyfuss is a neutered male beagle, about 2 or 3 years old, who came to Tall Tails Beagle Rescue from the Paris Animal Welfare Society in Paris, Ky.

Tonka is a gorgeous 1-year-old American Shelter dog. His name and looks may make him seem big and tough, but once you get to know him, he is really a sensitive sweetie.

Max, a 4-year old gray and white cat, is probably the most laid-back and mellow cat you will ever meet. He doesn’t come running up to people as soon as they enter the room, or even get up for that matter. He’d prefer to watch everything going on around him over going up close to inspect things. He’ll make his move when he’s good and ready.
