SOUTH HIRAM — Freeport handed Sacopee Valley its first loss of the season Tuesday, scoring five times in the sixth inning for an 8-5 win in a Western Maine Conference softball game.
Vanessa Lee and Mikayla Marcotte keyed the rally with RBI singles for the Falcons (2-6), who trailed 4-1 after five innings. Lee, Lexi Dietrich and Leigh Wyman each had two hits.
Chelsey Burnell had two hits, including a triple, and scored one run for the Hawks (6-1).
McAULEY 2, WINDHAM 1: Jennifer Field pitched a three-hitter with a walk and five strikeouts to lead the Lions (6-0) past the Eagles (1-6) at Windham.
Field singled with two outs in the seventh inning and scored the winning run on a long drive by Shelby Bryant that deflected off the fielder’s glove.
Windham tied the game in the fourth when Logan Genest scored on a single by Sara Richards, who pitched a four-hitter and struck out five.
YARMOUTH 7, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 4: Suzanne Driscoll hit a two-run double and Julie Dursema added a two-run single as the Clippers (7-1) scored four runs in the third inning to rally from a 3-1 deficit against the Patriots (3-5) at Yarmouth.
Kellie Sanborn had two hits and scored two runs for the Patriots, and Alicia Valente hit a double and a triple and drove in one run.
MARSHWOOD 12, PORTLAND 0: Jill Riendeau, Sammy Crosman, and Nicole O’Neil each knocked in two runs to lead Marshwood (3-5) over Portland (0-7) in five innings at South Berwick.
Hawks starter Nicole Harvey gave up one hit and no walks and struck out six in three innings.

KENNEBUNK 16, BONNY EAGLE 8: Taylor Crowley scored five goals and Camille Auger added four to lead the Rams (6-0) over the Scots (2-4) at Standish.
Sam Campobasso and Kate Boyer each scored three goals for Bonny Eagle.
BRUNSWICK 20, EDWARD LITTLE 4: Corrine O’Connor had five goals and three assists and Dakota Foster added four goals and one assist as the Dragons (5-2) downed the Red Eddies (1-5) at Brunswick.
Lydia Caputi added three goals and one assist for Brunswick.
CONY 11, MT. ARARAT 7: Bri Yates and Chelsea Begin each had three goals to lift the Rams (4-1) over the Eagles (4-2) at Augusta.
Heather Bolduc, Callie Kirk and Haley Michaud each scored twice for Mt. Ararat.
MORSE 21, LINCOLN ACADEMY 6: Tori Field scored five goals as Morse (4-2) downed the Eagles (1-5) at Newcastle.
Lincoln Academy was paced by Katrina Belle with three goals.
