OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Southern Maine Community College was ousted from the USCAA National Baseball Tournament today, losing 10-0 to Spalding University at The Ballpark.

Spalding (29-12) of Louisville, Ky., scored seven runs in the second inning. Kyle Barbee and Bryan Clemmons each had two-run singles in the inning. The game was stopped after six innings by the mercy rule.

Barrtt Duggan allowed two hits in six innings for Spalding, striking out eight.

Adam Hamilton and Christian Giles had the hits for SMCC, which lost Saturday 9-0 to Rochester College. The Seawolves finished 12-24.
