PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Rhode Island College scored three runs in the third inning today en route to a 7-4 win over St. Joseph’s in the 2011 NCAA Division III Softball Championships.

The loss ended the Monks’ season at 37-10, while the Anchorwomen (37-12) were to face Eastern Connecticut State University in today’s final.

St. Joe’s starter Madylan Kluna worked six innings, allowing nine hits.

Senior Alyssa Dunn hit a two-run blast in the fourth for the Monks (37-10).

Rhode Island added two runs in both the sixth and seventh innings.
