BANGOR — A witness in the trial of a Maine man charged with killing a couple in their Webster Plantation home says the husband was on his back on the floor, and his wife’s head was on his chest.
Alan Richardson testified today about what he saw on Nov. 28, 2009, at the home of Michael Miller Sr. and Valerie Miller. He says he saw the bodies when he peeped through a glass pane in the door.
Prosecutors say 32-year-old Nathaneal Nightingale confessed to police that he shot and killed the couple for money.
The Bangor Daily News says both the prosecution and the defense say Miller ran an unlicensed pawn shop, loan sharking business and bought and sold prescription drugs from the couple’s home.
