Jordan Denning joined Exemplar Cos. Inc., a professional services firm headquartered in Boston.

Denning, of Yarmouth, will be responsible for business development, including identifying opportunities for the investment of capital in Maine-based businesses.

Jack Miller was named vice president of commercial lending for Evergreen Credit Union.

Miller, who is the author of “Plain Vanilla Tips for Commercial Borrowers,” has more than 25 years of commercial lending experience.

Mindy Pomerleau and Will McClaran joined Central Maine Orthopaedics PA.

Pomerleau is a physician assistant and previously worked for Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.

McClaran, of Westbrook, joined the practice as a marketing assistant and will be the practice’s primary media contact. He was previously with Canney Communications.

GENERAL

E. Thomas Corcoran joined the board of directors of Putney Inc. in Portland.

Corcoran served as president of Fort Dodge Animal Health, a division of Wyeth, for 23 years, retiring in 2008.

Joy Siegel was named to the board of corporators at Mechanics Savings Bank.

Siegel, of Oxford, is treasurer and co-founder of Building Solutions LLC, a planning, design and building firm in Oxford.

John A. McArdle III, an attorney with Kelly, Remmel & Zimmerman in Portland, was sworn in as president of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association.

He joined the firm in 2007 and has focused his practice on complex personal injury and professional liability in Maine and Massachusetts.

The group’s new slate of officers also includes Jodi Nofsinger of Lewiston, who was named president-elect; Randall E. Smith of Saco, who was named secretary; Daniel J. Stevens of Augusta, who was named treasurer; and past president Peter Clifford of Kennebunk.
