CAPE ELIZABETH — A community meeting on a management plan for the Trout Brook Watershed will be held from 6:30-9 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at the South Portland Planning Department on Ocean Street in South Portland.

Trout Brook is s 2.9-mile stream that flows along the northeastern boundary of Cape Elizabeth and South Portland. South Portland recently received a grant from the Department of Environmental Protection to develop a plan for the stream.

The land that drains into the brook has been has been identified as an urban impaired watershed and as development in these areas has grown, the storm-water runoff has become increasingly polluted and does not meet state water quality standards.
