On Sunday afternoon I happened upon another in a long line of serious, multi-car accidents at the intersection of Route 1, Milliken Road and the Anjon’s restaurant parking lot exit in Scarborough. Why isn’t the town or the state taking measures to improve safety at this high-accident intersection?
At the least, signs stating “Caution: Dangerous Intersection” could be posted. Even better, car-activated flashing yellows (Route 1) and red (Milliken Road and Anjon’s exit) ought to be installed.
How many serious injuries and, potentially, deaths have to occur before something is done?
