BANGOR — Slightly damp but no worse for the wear, a stolen pickup was found on a municipal golf course in Maine.

The 1999 Ford F150, which had been stolen overnight from an owner who didn’t know it, turned up with a nice lie Monday morning on the Bangor Municipal Golf Course in Bangor.

Says police Sgt. Larry Weber: “It was parked on one of the greens. It was near the No. 4 hole, left of the flag.”

The Bangor Daily News reports that a golf course employee found it there at about 6 a.m., with no keys in the ignition and some water inside from the course’s sprinkler system.
