PORTLAND — Nomination papers are available for three seats on the Casco Bay Island Transit District Board of Directors.
The seats, carrying three-year terms, represent Peaks Island, Great Diamond Island and Little Diamond Island.
CBITD is governed by 12 directors. Ten are elected from the islands, and the city of Portland and the Maine Department of Transportation appoint one member each.
Nomination papers are available at the Casco Bay Lines ticket office at 56 Commercial St. and must be returned by noon Aug. 29.
