HARRISON – Trevor Getting hit two singles and a double and stole three bases, and Ben Frazee hit a triple Sunday to lead Central Maine to a 13-2 victory over Coastal South in the championship game of the Babe Ruth state tournament for 13-year-olds.

Frazee also struck out seven batters while earning the win for Central Maine, which had nine players drive in at least one run.

Zac Meggison doubled and drove in one run for Coastal South and John Parker added a double and a single.

Central Maine advances to the New England Regional tournament in Norwalk, Conn., from July 30 through Aug. 4.

BABE RUTH 15

APPLE VALLEY 18, FRANKLIN COUNTY 9: Sam Godfrey and Carson Dalheim drove in two runs apiece as Apple Valley scored six runs in the bottom of the third inning to pull away from Franklin County in the championship game of the Babe Ruth state tournament for 15-year-olds at Westbrook.

Tucker Whittman and Drew Gosselin added two hits apiece for Apple Valley, which advances to the New England Regional tournament in Farmington from July 29 through August 3.

Ryan Greenman led Franklin County with three hits and Andrew Pratt drove in two runs.

As the host, Franklin County also will play in the regional.

TWILIGHT LEAGUE

PATRIOT INSURANCE SWEEPS LENDERS NETWORK: Sam Green scored the winning run on a fielder’s choice in the seventh to lift Patriot Insurance in the first game of a doubleheader at Deering Oaks.

In game two, Travis Wade struck out nine batters while pitching a six-hitter to lead Patriot Insurance to a 4-0 victory.

AERO HEATING 4, MAINE-LY MOBILE 3: Ben Goodall drove in the winning run in the seventh — and four overall — for Aero Heating and Ventilation to cap a rally from a 3-0 deficit against Maine-ly Mobile.

MAINE-LY MOBILE 10, RB&C 6: Evan Humphrey struck out eight batters over six-plus innings to earn the win for Maine-LY Mobile.

Teammate Brady Blackman had three hits, scored two runs and drove in a run while Charlie Partridge also had three hits and an RBI.
