YARMOUTH – Trey Watson and Jack Reynolds scored Tuesday as Sacopee Valley took advantage of its opportunities to down North Yarmouth Academy 2-0 in a Western Maine Conference schoolboy soccer game.

Sacopee Valley (1-0) won despite being outshot 22-4 by the Panthers (1-1).

Mitchell Barton made 18 saves for the shutout.

 

BONNY EAGLE 4, SANFORD 3: Wyatt Powell headed in a corner kick with 25 seconds left in the second overtime to lift Bonny Eagle (1-1) over Sanford (0-2) at Standish.

Matt McClure played the ball in for the winning goal and also got Bonny Eagle started, scoring 1:28 into the game. Zach Meserve and Zach Moody added first-half goals for the Scots.

Gabriel Zimmer and Nick Wall scored in the first half for Sanford. Connor McGehee added Sanford’s third goal with four minutes left in regulation.

 

SCARBOROUGH 5, MARSHWOOD 0: Austin Downing scored twice as Scarborough (2-0) beat Marshwood (1-1) at South Berwick.

Chris Cleary, Dan Orenstein and Andrew Jones also scored for the Red Storm, who led 3-0 at halftime.

Pat Stinson made three saves and Ben Sirois stopped two shots for Scarborough. Jackson Towle handled 12 shots for Marshwood.

PORTLAND 4, NOBLE 2: Tim Rovnak scored twice for the Bulldogs (1-1) against the Knights (1-1) at North Berwick.

Tony Yekah and Alain Tuyishime also scored for Portland.

Brandon Vigneault scored on a penalty kick and Jake Emard added a goal for Noble.

 

DEERING 2, WESTBROOK 0: Brandon Saucier scored two first-half goals and Jamie Gullbrand made nine saves to lead the Rams (2-0) past the Blue Blazes (0-2) at Portland.

Billy Farrell and Brett Harmon provided assists.

YORK 2, YARMOUTH 1: Pierce Twohig broke a 1-1 tie less than three minutes into the second half to lift the Wildcats (2-0) over the Clippers (0-2) at York.

Sam Torres of Yarmouth and Willy Bennett of York traded first-half goals. Theo Bullock and Fran Mendoza provided assists for the Wildcats.

 

SOUTH PORTLAND 4, MASSABESIC 0: Nemanja Kaurin scored off a deflected corner, then off a free kick to give South Portland a 2-0 halftime lead in an opener at Waterboro.

Jack Lanolin added a penalty kick, and Dan Grazewski scored on the rebound of a free kick in the second half.

THORNTON ACADEMY 0, KENNEBUNK 0: It was all defense when Thornton Academy (1-0-1) and the Rams (0-1-1) tied at Kennebunk.

Kennebunk goalie John Burns saved eight shots. Chris Roberts saved 12 shots for Thornton.

 

FALMOUTH 14, LAKE REGION 1: Brandon Tuttle had four goals and two assists as Falmouth (2-0) downed Lake Region (0-2) at Naples.

Connor Murphy and Luke Velas added two goals each for the Yachtsmen, who led 6-1 at halftime.

Mike Magales scored and Dakota Bush finished with 20 saves for the Lakers.

 

CHEVERUS 5, BIDDEFORD 0: Eliot Maker scored three goals and assisted on a fourth as Cheverus (2-0) beat the Tigers (0-2) at Biddeford.

Nick Melville added a goal and three assists, and Nate Palmer also scored.

Charlie Mull and Dan Herman combined on a five-save shutout.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 2, FREEPORT 1: Jack Martell headed in a corner kick from Craig Moreau with 20 minutes left to lift the Patriots (1-1) over Freeport (1-1) at Gray.

Moreau gave Gray-New Gloucester the lead in the first half from Paul Fotter. The Falcons tied it early in the second when Evan Hench scored off a corner kick.

Nick Rogers made five saves for the win. Alex Campbell stopped 10 shots for Freeport.

 

GREELY 4, POLAND 0: Mitchel Donovan had a goal and an assist as Greely (1-1) shut out the Knights (0-2) at Poland.

Matt Crowley gave the Rangers a 1-0 lead in the first half from Gavin Collins. Ted Hart and Nick Shain added goals before Donovan closed it with an unassisted score.

Dillon Douglas finished with 19 saves for Poland. Elijah Leverett and Wil Bryant combined for three saves for Greely.

 

GORHAM 2, WINDHAM 0: Spence Cowand and Kevin Lubelczyk scored first-half goals to lead Gorham (2-0) over the Eagles (1-1) at Windham.

Connor Reagan and Mike Lubelczyk each had an assist, and Carter Bowers earned the shutout.
