AUGUSTA — Maine’s Land Use Regulation Commission will take up two proposed wind power projects this week.

The commission on Wednesday will make a decision on the Bull Hill wind project, proposed by Blue Sky East LLC for Hancock County. The commissioners also will begin deliberations on the Bowers Wind Project for Washington and Penobscot counties proposed by Champlain Wind LLC.

Instead of holding its Wednesday meeting in Bangor, the commission will meet in Ellsworth, which is closer to the people affected by its decisions. The November and December meetings will be held in Lincoln, closer to the Bowers project.

The Land Use Regulation Commission oversees development in unorganized lands.
