YORK – Nate Diffin made three saves and York defeated Falmouth 4-0 Wednesday night in a Western Maine Conference boys’ soccer game.

Liam Langaas converted a corner kick by Mitchell Hickey, Josh Mitchell had an unassisted goal, Willy Bennett scored on an assist by James McCafferty and Pierce Twohig converted a penalty kick for the Wildcats (9-1-2).

Will D’Agostino stopped six shots for the Yachtsmen (7-3-1). 

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 2, FREEPORT 0: Wyatt Andreoli and Stefan Sjekloca scored in the first 15 minutes to lead Fryeburg Academy (8-5) to a win at Freeport (5-6-1).

Paul Dostie made seven saves for the Raiders. Connor Dietrich stopped three shots for the Falcons. 

BRUNSWICK 2, OXFORD HILLS 0: Mitch Black and Zack Lavoie scored second-half goals to lead the Dragons (5-3-4) past the Vikings (4-9) at Brunswick.

Black put Brunswick ahead with 24:44 left and Lavoie scored from Chris Bruno less than three minutes later.

Greg Walton made two saves for the shutout. Aaron Crockett stopped 12 shots for Oxford Hills. 

RICHMOND 5, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 1: Evan Esancy had two goals to lead the Bobcats (10-2-1) to a win over the Lions (7-6) at Portland.

Peter Lorbeski, Nate Tribbett and Brett Stillwell also scored for Richmond and Tyler Harrington had one save.

Adam Simpson scored on a penalty kick for Greater Portland Christian and Luke Bennett made 18 saves. 

OCEANSIDE 4, NOKOMIS 1: Drew Townsend scored two goals to lead Oceanside (4-7-1) past Nokomis (1-11) at Thomaston.

Caleb Jacob and Nick Judge also scored for Oceanside; Kyle Robinson had two assists and Nate Boggs had 14 saves.

Aaron Smestad scored for the Warriors off an assist from Christian Brown, and Thomas Batchelder had 11 saves. 

GARDINER 2, LINCOLN 2: Jake Palmer and Daniel DelGallo scored to help Gardiner (4-7-1) erase a 2-0 deficit and tie Lincoln Academy (5-5-2) at Newcastle.

Nic Phinney and Bo McLain scored for Lincoln.
