PORTLAND – Kevin Lubelczyk scored back-to-back goals early in the second half to give Gorham a two-goal lead in a 6-3 SMAA boys’ soccer victory over Cheverus Tuesday afternoon.

The Stags (10-3-1) led 2-0 eight minutes into the match on goals from Elliot Maker and Nick Melville. The Rams (11-3) answered quickly with Nate Bucknell scoring off a corner kick taken by Connor Reagan. Reagan then tied the game with an unassisted score.

After Gorham took its two-goal lead, Maker scored again to cut the lead to one. Austin Bell scored two minutes later and Chandler Reagan scored unassisted with 10 minutes left.

DEERING 3, SANFORD 0: Senior Brandon Saucier scored all three goals as Deering (5-6-1) downed Sanford (2-12) at Memorial Field.

Saucier had two goals in the first half, both assisted by Adrian Willing. Saucier added a goal in the second half, dribbling the ball in from the 18 to score unassisted.

Ram goalie Jamie Gullbrand turned in 14 saves for the shutout.

KENNEBUNK 7, BIDDEFORD 0: Senior midfielder Harrison Hall scored one goal and had three assists as the Rams (7-4-3) blanked the Tigers (0-14) at Kennebunk.

The Rams had seven players score including John Grillo, Mike Ottman, Griffin Drigotas, Darren Mahoney, Nick Hussey and Charlie Merry. Mahoney and Ottman also had assists.

Pip Butterfield needed just one save to secure the shutout for the Rams. Tigers keeper Josh McCauly finished with 16 stops.

SCARBOROUGH 6, MASSABESIC 0: Kenny Hodgdon scored twice to lead the Red Storm (11-1-2) past the Mustangs (3-11) at Waterboro.

Dan Ornstein, Andrew Jones, J.D. Herrman and Johnny Passarelli also scored.

CAPE ELIZABETH 2, FALMOUTH 2: Tim LaValle scored twice for the Capers (7-4-3) and J.P. White and Cooper Lycan had goals for the Yachtsmen (9-3-2) in a tie at Falmouth.

Falmouth’s Will D’Agostino and Cape Elizabeth’s Austin Andrews each made seven saves. All the scoring came in the first half.

SOUTH PORTLAND 1, MARSHWOOD 1: The Red Riots (9-2-3) and the Hawks (8-4-2) played to a tie at South Berwick.

Luke Taylor scored five minutes in for Marshwood. Akiba Davis tied it about 17 minutes later.

PORTLAND 3, THORNTON ACADEMY 2: Alain Tuyishime had two goals, including the winner in overtime, for the Bulldogs (10-2-2) against the Golden Trojans (5-7-2) at Saco.

Ben Day also scored for Portland, while Max Senechal and Cam Trask had goals for Thornton.

NOBLE 3, WESTBROOK 0: Nate Brown had a goal and an assist to help the Knights (5-9) beat the Blazes (2-10-2) at North Berwick.

Sean Jackson and Jake Emard also scored and Josh Emard chipped in two assists. Drew Martin earned his second shutout.

NYA 8, LAKE REGION 0: Ryan Rousseau had three goals and three assists as the Panthers (6-6-2) handled the Lakers (0-14) at Yarmouth.

D.J. Nicholas and Sam Leishman each added two goals and Asad Dehia also scored for NYA.

MT. VIEW 3, LINCOLN ACADEMY 0: Aaron Elkins scored a pair of goals to lead Mt. View (10-3) over Lincoln Academy (5-6-3) at Thorndike.

CAMDEN HILLS 7, NOKOMIS 0: Truman Moore scored three goals to lead the Windjammers (14-0) past the Warriors (1-13) in an Eastern B game.

HALL-DALE 3, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 0: Zach Plumer, Ben Crocker and Zack McNaughton all scored as the Bulldogs (12-1-1) beat the Phoenix (4-8-2) in Jay.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 9, WELLS 3: Jack Martell, Ian Martell and Tyler St. Pierre each had a pair of goals as the Patriots (6-7-1) downed the Warriors (1-13) at Wells.

Eric Wilcox, Jesse Lowell and Austin McDonald also scored for Portland.

Goalies Spencer Harriman and Nick Rogers combined for four saves.

Zach Mason, Steve Valentino and Sam LaPointe scored and Tyler Lamb stopped 14 shots for Wells.

MARANACOOK 2, MORSE 0: John Varney scored two second-half goals as Maranacook topped Morse (8-5-1) in the regular-season finale for both teams in Readfield.

 

MESSALONSKEE 6, CONY 2: Alex Shatskov and Nate DelGiudice each scored two goals as the Eagles (10-2-2) beat the Rams (2-12-0) in Oakland.
