I encourage Freeport voters to consider Kristina Egan for Town Council in District 3.
I no longer live in Freeport, but I spent 18 enjoyable years as a resident, including a term as District 3 councilor. I ran in a special election following the abrupt resignation of the previous councilor.
I have known Kristina for several years. I have grown to appreciate her competence, positive approach and effectiveness in team settings.
In my experience, being an effective town councilor requires an ability to work with others to explore the best way to move the town forward. Local government is most effective when councilors listen carefully to the public, and then work together as a team to develop good solutions to local problems.
I support Kristina because I believe she can bring a positive can-do spirit and a team approach to the Freeport Town Council.
