PORTLAND — A Falmouth business executive has purchased a minority share in the Maine Red Claws basketball team and joined the group planning to redevelop Thompson’s Point.
Stephen Woods, president and chief executive officer of marketing firm TideSmart Global on Route 1 in Falmouth, announced Tuesday that he is the newest part-owner of the National Basketball Association Development League team.
Woods, a Yarmouth resident, is now also an investor and partner in The Forefront at Thompson’s Point, the development proposed to be home to the Red Claws. Woods has represented NBA and Major League Baseball players as a former agent, and is also the chairman of the Yarmouth Town Council.
