Cape student awarded Founder’s Scholarship to Elmira College

ELMIRA, N.Y. — Kelsey Harrington of Cape Elizabeth was awarded the Founder’s Scholarship from Elmira College at the fall academic convocation. The Founder’s Scholarship is a four year, $48,000 scholarship.

Scarborough sophomore crowned Miss Teen Maine 2011

SCARBOROUGH — Katherine Elliot, a sophomore at Scarborough High School, was crowned Miss Teen Maine 2011. She sang for her talent and won the essay contest and interview portion of the competition. She was also named Miss Photogenic.

Scarborough woman inducted into Delta Epsilon Sigma

STANDISH — Kelsey Webber of Scarborough was recently inducted as a member of the Delta Epsilon Sigma National Honor Society at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine. She is a junior nursing major and a member of the Student Nurses Association. She also volunteers and tutors children at the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center.

Local students enrolled at Bryant University

SMITHFIELD, R.I. — Three local students have been admitted to Bryant University: Meghan Giles of Scarborough will pursue a degree in business administration; Matthew Gonyea, also of Scarborough, will enter as a financial services student; and Casey O’Donovan of Cape Elizabeth will study international business in marketing.
