Haunted Church Tour, 7 to 10 p.m., First Parish Church, 1 Church St., Gorham. Fifth annual event by the Youth Group to raise funds for its volunteer programs. The tour is not recommended for anyone under the age of 5, and all children under 10 require adult supervision. The cost is $4 for children and $6 for adults. Family price, with at least one adult and up to four children, is $20.

“Being Salt and Light: Friends Living the Kingdom of God in a Broken World,” 6 to 9 p.m. today and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Guest speakers are Valerie Joy, executive director of Friends World Committee for Consultation, Asia and West Pacific, and Abel Sibonio, a Quaker pastor and refugee from Burundi. The program takes place at Portland Friends Meeting, 1837 Forest Ave., Portland. A donation is requested. The program is being held in preparation for the Sixth World Conference of Friends, which will be held in April in Kenya.
